Dominique Dunning has been playing with 17u since the age of 12. He can play the 1,2 or 3 more than effectively. He is 6' 3" 170 and will be attending Chaffey High in Ontario this fall. Here is a link of him blocking Renardo Sidney's shot at the Cal Poly Pomona tourney on June 15th http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6TkaiPicFo
Here is an excerpt of February's fullcourt press 8th grade showcase:

Game 6: (8th Grade – Top 20):

Dominique Dunning
The day's final event brought what was without a doubt the day's top performance as Dominique Dunning (Danks MS-Ontario) scored 29 points, including 5 threes, and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the White team to an 85-62 win. He also had 4 assists and 2 blocked shots in the game.

The game was close for more than 20 minutes, with the White team holding just a 5-point lead at halftime. But the hot shooting of the White team, led by Dunning, proved to be too much for the Black team. The White team shot 52% from the field in the game, including 12 threes, and won despite the Black team committing just 3 turnovers.

6/5/05 Abdu Torrence: 'This past weekend LI Lightning Dingle 11's and 12's competed in the Playaz Blow Up Tourney Paterson, NJ. Great job to Jimmy Salmon and his staff Jerome Smart and Kyle Anderson on a smooth tournament where games started approximately on time. The Dingle 11's playing as Lightning Gold and playing up Went 0 and 3 in pool play. With their 3 best players playing on the Dingle 12's the 11's competed hard and with heart. In pool play they lost to Mass Rivals who played fundamentally sound and had great shooters on the wings, For the Dingle 11's Daniel Dingle was his dominant self, 18 pts and 12 rebs while Severio Ford and Jamel Torrence controlled the floor game combining for 13 assists. The Metro Hawks who mercied the Dingle 11's were led by Winston McLeod and Terrell Gist. Winston was his usual talent but Terrell was a pleasant surprise for a kid who has a lot of talent he plays extremely hard. Severio was hard to contain as Metro Hawks had send 2 or 3 players at him at one time to make him give up the ball. Our guard play was comparable to Metro's as Jamel Torrence stayed in front Terrell Gist most and made it difficult for him to get to the basket. Our frontcourt was dominated in the game as the size of Metro 12's controlled the boards. Daniel Dingle led with 10 points. In the final pool game versus the Playaz the game was about pride, building character, and momentum for the next tourney. The game featured for the Playaz Mile "to the rack" Mack and Kyle "Big Smooth" Anderson and the game gave the 11's a chance to compete against a team their size. They second half was the highlight of the game as Myron Hickman and Ryan Frankel took over for a seven minute stretch and combined for 12 points and 4 steals. The Playaz won on the mercy rule but for Dingle 11's the game ended on a good note in terms of effort. LI Dingle was led by Daniel Dingle 12 points and Myron Hickman 10 points. Next up is the Maryland Invitational June 10-12 reportedly 10 of top 25 nationally ranked teams will be attendance in the 11 and under division.

Friday night LIL Dingle 12's had tough and emotional first game vs. the defending Spring Fling champion Gauchos. The Gauchos led the whole first half before Sterling Gibbs and Emmanuel Brown stepped it up another level. Gibbs scored six straight points and had two assists during a stretch. You ask what can Brown do for you? He did it all - blocked shots, grabbed rebounds, scored inside and played defense. Tthe Dingle 12's ended up winning by 13. The bench of Claudius Alabino, Ali Barry and Nick Padgett harassed the Gauchos' guards into bad shots and turnovers. In game two vs. the Hoop Zone Gym Ratz it was a close called game that enabled the Dingle 12's to pull it out. Kareem Canty, Sterling Gibbs and Ousman Barry had great impact on the game. Sterling had a a game high 18 points Claudius Alabino scored 12 points, Ousman Barry 14 rebs. and Kareem Canty was stat sheet filler with 8 points, 9 rebs 7 assists and 3 steals. In the third pool game vs UCC Tigers was a mercy win to grab 1st place in the pool and set up a showdown with the Metro Hawks.

In the semis Metro gave a good fight but we won with a balanced attack of Sterling Gibbs 12 points 8 assists, Emmanuel Brown 13 points 12 rebounds while only playing half the game due to foul trouble and Claudius Alabino 14 points 5 assists and 4 steals. A box in one was applied to Winston McLeod in the second half which shut him down. Ousman Barry clogged up the middle and once again led the team in rebounding with 18. The Dingle 12's avenged the loss of the Dingle 11's 57-37.'

Henry Brooks from Landmark Christain Academy & Azeem Haamid from W.D. Mohammed should be on this list. I think its a total insult that they aren't on this list.

You guy are forgetting about The young underrated Point Guard From Staten Island James Walker the kid has a great basketball IQ and is well Respectful and well coaches. He goes to Franklin.k.lane but should be attending curtis h.s next year. He should be putting up some desent numbers this year. He's a great player keep and eye on him and his 2 other teammates by the names of Larry Brand and Lateek Bradley. Larry is a well mature shooter and Lateek has the abilty to shoot the outside shot and bring it to the hole with tremendous strength these 3 should be high ranked in the top 100. These guys are great.

it doesnt matter if someone was on varsity there freshman year, i mean yea thats good dont get me wrong. but there are a million kids that make varsity there freshman year. the kids that are on this list are the kids that are phenomanal, even against each other they still put up big numbers. But, i do believe that lebryan nash sshould be the number one player, cuz he is about 6'9'' 235 now. he is currently playing for the dallas mustangs 17u team, and has been for the last 2 years.
